Peggy (Margaret)'s Story
Was very shy in school. Not so much now. Have strong opinions on many subjects but would never impose my views on others and am always open to hearing others views. Like reality shows such as Survivor, The Great RAce, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, America's Got Talent, The Deadliest Catch, Clean House, Dr. G, Medical Incredible. Absolutely Hate....the Kardashians, Jon & Kate plus 8, Big Brother, etc. Read all the Harry Potter Books but love Robert Ludlum, John Grisham, James Mitchner, and Nora Roberts. My favorite movie of all time is an oldie......The Quiet Man (with John Wayne & Maureen O'Hara.) I think it's the sexiest movie ever made and totally romantic but then I also loved Alien, Shawshank Redemption, The Great Escape, A Christmas Story (have to watch it every Christmas) Juno, and Ice Age. Still play the piano badly but I love listening to my brother, John Flynn play the piano and sing. WOW!
My music collection is oldies, Top 40, Johnny Mathis, The Carpenters, some Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Adele & Pink are 2 of my current favorites. I love to write poetry. Adopted 2 children - a daughter, Lauren 45 & my son, Billy 36. Used to love lake fishing (never did catch that big bass) with my Dad who died since I first wrote this. I have 2 sisters - Jeanne & Trish & brother - John. Got divorced in 1998 & went back to work....Expand for more
Wow! Was I a dinosaur. Worked at Stonhard in Maple Shade as an Accts Payable Rep until I retired in 2020. I used to love gardening (flowers & veggies.) Also loved painting rooms when I could climb ladders. I have 3 grand nephews- Charles - 17 a Junior at Egg Harbor Twp High School. He is an honor student. He also plays the violin. Adam is 15 & a freshman at EHTHS & is also a smart like his brother. Both boys are members of their high school's Seahawks Swim Team & keep improving their times. I expect to see them in the Olympics. Of course I'm prejudiced because their my handsome nephews.. Stephen is 6 & is the cutest T-Ball player this year. Although I'm not a "holy roller," I am a spiritual person who has always believed in the power of prayer & know there is a God who is a really big joker. I remember being devasted that I wouldn't graduate from West Cath HS. Thought the town I moved to in 1966 was a real close match to Petticoat Junction. There was no bus or trolley, no subway. Eeee Gad! We had to walk over a mile to pick up a bus to get school & no bus to the Cherry Hill Mall. There was no Hot Shoppe, no Chez Vous, no mixers, people down here said "crown" instead of crayon. They were real hicks! Now I wouldn't move back to the city if you paid me. But now that I'm over 70....I'm thinking alot about my childhood & teen years.
